FullScript
We want patients to know there is an easier way to keep up on your supplements. FullScript is an application that allows the doctor to create a file for you with all of your favorite supplements. You can access this file and order anytime you want (in your pj’s ) and have supplements delivered to you. This allows us to help you obtain the best supplements out there that are doctor prescribed and we don’t have to stock products that we don’t sell as much and expire. This helps everyone save money. All we need is your name as a patient and your email address. Please let your doctor know if you are interested in using this service.
Happy Christmas!
Condition of the Month
Ear Infections/Infant Conditions
Chiropractic is safe for children!
The first subluxation for a child can happen at birth. This is especially true for induced labors, vacuum extraction, forceps and cesarean deliveries which are epidemic in the United States. Research confirms chiropractors’ observations that infants may suffer from spinal subluxations/misalignments.
In one study, 1,259 infants were examined five days after birth. 211 of these babies suffered from vomiting/colic, hyperactivity and sleeplessness. Subluxations were found in 95% of them.
Chiropractors are able to treat not only these conditions but are very successful with Erb’s Palsy (limp arm), torticollis/twisted or wry neck, imbalanced head/skull and neck development and shape, ear-nose-throat conditions, bedwetting, allergies and sleep disorders, projectile vomiting, constipation, etc. etc.!
“Ear infections can be a common issue parents encounter with their children. Parents can treat the ear infections allopathically (the typical medical/ drug route) or naturally. If you choose to go the usual route to a pediatrician, they may take a watch-and-wait approach. More likely, they will prescribe an antibiotic.
If, however, you would prefer to treat the ear infections more naturally, there are several options for you to consider. A naturopath will explore herbs and nutrition; a homeopath will assess your child for a specific remedy; an acupuncturist will work with specific meridian points for healing.
“Regardless of the choices you make, the chiropractic approach will improve your child’s inherent ability to function. Doesn’t it make sense to have your child function at an optimal level for healing no matter how you choose to treat? Chiropractors will assess your child’s spine, make the necessary adjustments to improve nerve system function and offer lifestyle suggestions to reduce nerve system stress for your child.”

Are you missing Magnesium?
Magnesium is one of the most overlooked minerals but has hundreds of important functions in our body.
Magnesium is a crucially important mineral for optimal health, performing a wide array of biological functions, including but not limited to:
· Activating muscles and nerves
· Creating energy in your body by activating adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
· Helping digest proteins, carbohydrates, and fats; Serving as a building block for RNA and DNA synthesis.
· It is also a precursor for neurotransmitters like serotonin.
Signs of magnesium deficiency? Numbness and tingling, heart arrhythmia, seizures, coronary spasms, personality changes, and muscle cramps/contractions. An appropriate ratio of calcium to magnesium is 1:1. Magnesium and vitamin K2 complement each other, as magnesium helps lower blood pressure, which is an important component of heart disease. So, all in all, anytime you're taking any of the following: magnesium, calcium, vitamin D3, or vitamin K2, you need to consider the others, since these all work synergistically with one another. Dr.Mercola,
RECIPE OF THE MONTH
Spiced Apple Rings:
6 lbs. firm, tart apples, maximum diameter 2 ½ inches
3-6 c. sugar, unprocessed (I use the least amount possible but still good tasting)
3 c. water
¾ c. white vinegar
1 ½ T. whole cloves
4 cinnamon sticks (red food coloring can be used; I don’t recommend it unless it is chemical free)
Yields 4-4 ½ pints
Wash apples. To prevent discoloring-peel and slice one apple at a time. Cut crosswise into ½” slices, remove core, immerse in ascorbic acid solution or lemon juice solution.
Syrup: Combine sugar, water, vinegar, cloves and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan. Stir, heat to boiling, then simmer for 3 minutes. Drain apples, add to hot syrup and cook 5 minutes. Fill hot jars (wide mouth) with apple rings and syrup, leaving ½” headspace if you want to hot water bath can for 10 minutes. Or store in the refrigerator if they are to be eaten soon.
