Office News:
Mark your calendars! We are bringing in spring with a
PATIENT APPRECIATION DAYS CELEBRATION!!
Tuesday, April 8th
Established patients bring $10 per person worth of nonperishable food items, household goods, or cash to be donated to local charities and receive a complimentary adjustment on Tuesday, April 8th!!
Refer your friends and family to our New Patient deal the weeks of April 7th and April 14th (appointments scheduled in advance during our normal business hours) and for their $10 donation they will receive a consultation, examination, and x-rays!!
(That’s up to $550 savings!!!!!)
Prescheduling is required and does not replace your currently scheduled appointments (this is a bonus adjustment! ) There will also be food and raffle prizes!
This is a special event that we all cherish. However, in recent years New Patient referrals from this event have been decreasing. We know that every single person can lead a better, healthier lifestyle with chiropractic care. You are being called to action! Help us help your loved ones - tell them about Appreciation days!!
Patient Orientation Class is held once a week at 6:00pm. It is required attendance for new patients, but all are always welcome to attend. See the front desk to sign up. This month class will be held Wednesday, April 16th and 30th and Monday, April 21st.
Dr. Borski will be out of town at a conference on Thursday, April 3rd. Dr. Baker will be in the office seeing patients.
Happy Birthday, Dr. Borski!
NEW HOURS!
We are excited to announce changes in the office hours. As of May 1st, 2025, Baker Borski’s hours will be revised, allowing more options to accommodate work schedules. We will continue to be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; however, the hours will be from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and again from
2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. We hope this will assist our working patients and students who require more options in the afternoons. We kindly ask our retired patients who may have more flexibility to keep this in mind when scheduling. Hopefully by working together everyone can get in and remain healthy.
REMINDER OF OUR MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY:
We understand that unforeseen emergencies can arise at any time, please let the front desk know if you are rescheduling your appointment due to a last-minute emergency (personal or work related) so we can accommodate you. We all know living in WI the weather can be extreme at times, if you are a driver who bases their travel on road conditions, please keep an eye on the forecast. Most weather conditions are pre-forecasted and can be avoided. Our cancellation policy is in place so our patients who do need our care are able to get in. We ask 24 hours notice so the patients on our waiting list may have enough notice. Any after-hours or weekend changes can be left on our voicemail. Cancellations and re-scheduled appointments done outside of 24 hours may incur a $20.00 cash charge. This is requested as a consideration of our time and, most importantly, of other patients in need. We appreciate your understanding!

Condition of the Month
Acid Reflux
The first thing to do if you suspect acid reflux is to schedule an appointment with a chiropractor.
Do not wait…go…now!
Pick up the phone and call!!
Chiropractic can work in two ways to help you to heal gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD).
First, Chiropractic is the most effective means of treating a hiatal hernia, a common but often overlooked cause of GERD. A hiatal hernia is when the top part of your stomach “pops through” (herniates through) your diaphragm. The diaphragm muscle pinches the top part of your stomach and can cause reflux.
A chiropractor trained in reducing hiatal hernias can sometimes get the patient relief if that is the cause.
The second way chiropractic can help is through manipulation of the spine.
Research has shown that people with stomach ulcers who receive chiropractic adjustments heal much faster than people who do not.
Often people who suffer from GERD and/or stomach ulcers develop pain in the upper back-between the shoulder blades. This is because the nerve supply is the same to both areas.
Chiropractic adjustments to the upper back can “reconnect” the nerve supply to the esophagus and stomach and hasten healing.
OH, Honey!
Buying local honey reduces the chance of allergic reaction compared to eating non-local honey!
Heart disease: A paste of honey and cinnamon on bread can help reduce cholesterol by 10% within 2 hours and inflammation in arteries, even revitalizes arteries and veins.
Arthritis: Add it with cinnamon to hot water has been found to help relieve pain from arthritis.
Colds/sore throat/cough: A tablespoon of honey in hot water with lemon or cinnamon will help almost immediately and clears sinuses as well. A well known radio program quoted a doctor using this for their kids – it worked better than over the counter syrups!
Flu: A scientist in Spain showed that it helped shorten the flu.
Weight loss: It has been shown that cinnamon boosts metabolism. Drink with honey in hot water.
Cancer: Honey with cinnamon in hot water was shown to eliminate cancer of the bones and stomach in Japan and Australia.
Immune system booster: Daily use of honey and cinnamon strengthens the immune system and protects from
viruses and bacteria by strengthening the white blood cells which fight infection. Using raw honey made close to home might help your body defeat common allergens in your area, though not proven conclusively.
It is recommended not to serve honey to children 1 yr. of age and younger. Just make sure you use non- contaminated honey for everyone else.
